Weekly cleaning in Dubai is the plan most apartment households end up on, because sand, AC dust and kitchen grease build up fast enough that a two week gap starts to show. This guide sets out what the three common plans (fortnightly, weekly and twice weekly) cost per visit and per month for each home size, what a weekly visit covers, and how to pick the plan that fits your home without paying for hours you do not need.
In short: on our cleaning price calculator, regular cleaning in Dubai is typically AED 35 to 50 per hour, and a weekly visit to a 1 bedroom apartment takes about 3 hours. That is roughly AED 105 to 150 a visit, or about AED 420 to 600 a month for four visits. Larger homes take more hours, so the monthly total moves with size, not with the plan name.
Weekly cleaning Dubai prices by home size
Every regular plan is priced the same way: the hours your home needs, multiplied by the hourly rate, multiplied by the number of visits. The hours below are the calculator’s typical visit lengths for regular cleaning in Dubai.
| Home size | Hours per visit | Per visit | Weekly, per month (4 visits) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio | 2 to 3 | AED 70 to 150 | AED 280 to 600 |
| 1 bedroom | 3 | AED 105 to 150 | AED 420 to 600 |
| 2 to 3 bedrooms | 3 to 4 | AED 105 to 200 | AED 420 to 800 |
| Townhouse | 4 to 5 | AED 140 to 250 | AED 560 to 1,000 |
| Villa | 4 to 6 | AED 140 to 300 | AED 560 to 1,200 |
A month with five visit days adds one more visit. The rate inside the range depends on the time slot, your area and whether the cleaner brings materials or uses yours. Our guide to cleaning services price per hour compares the Dubai rate with Sharjah and Ajman, and our cleaning services in Dubai page lists the typical price of every service in the emirate.

Fortnightly, weekly or twice weekly: the monthly cost
The plan changes the number of visits, so it changes the monthly total far more than the hourly rate does. Here is the same maths for all three plans.
| Home size | Fortnightly (2 visits) | Weekly (4 visits) | Twice weekly (8 visits) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio | AED 140 to 300 | AED 280 to 600 | AED 560 to 1,200 |
| 1 bedroom | AED 210 to 300 | AED 420 to 600 | AED 840 to 1,200 |
| 2 to 3 bedrooms | AED 210 to 400 | AED 420 to 800 | AED 840 to 1,600 |
| Townhouse | AED 280 to 500 | AED 560 to 1,000 | AED 1,120 to 2,000 |
| Villa | AED 280 to 600 | AED 560 to 1,200 | AED 1,120 to 2,400 |

Two things to keep in mind. A fortnightly visit may need an extra hour, because two weeks of dust and limescale take longer to clear than one. And twice weekly visits can often be shorter than a weekly one, so ask for the visit length that fits your home rather than assuming the same hours twice.
What a weekly visit covers
A weekly visit is maintenance, not a reset. The cleaner works through the jobs that build up in seven days, in the same order each time, so nothing is missed. Our weekly cleaning checklist lists every task room by room; in brief, a typical visit covers:
- Kitchen: worktops, hob, sink, appliance fronts, the microwave inside, the bin and the floor.
- Bathrooms: toilet, basin, shower or bath, mirrors, taps and the floor, with limescale kept in check.
- Bedrooms and living areas: dusting reachable surfaces, making beds, tidying, vacuuming and mopping.
- Dubai extras: window sills, the balcony door track and the entrance mat, where sand collects first.
Ironing, changing linen, laundry and cleaning inside the fridge can be added as extras at an extra cost, confirmed at booking. Oven interiors, inside cupboards and AC vents belong to a deep clean, which is priced per visit; see our guide to deep cleaning cost in Dubai.
Which plan fits your home

- Fortnightly suits singles, couples and tidy homes where you are happy to wipe the kitchen and bathroom yourself between visits.
- Weekly is the default for most Dubai apartments, and for any home with children or pets, because sand, hair and bathroom limescale do not wait two weeks.
- Twice weekly fits larger families, villas and homes that host often, where one visit cannot keep up with the kitchen and floors.
- Not sure? Start weekly for a month and watch how fast dust returns. If the home still looks fine on day 14, move to fortnightly.
If the home is well behind, book one deep clean first and then keep the result with regular visits; a weekly plan is not designed to catch up on months of build up. For the Sharjah version of this decision, see our regular cleaning service Sharjah guide.
Weekly cleaner or part time maid?
In Dubai, “weekly cleaning” and “part time maid” often mean the same thing: a cleaner booked for a fixed number of hours on a fixed day. What matters is who employs the cleaner: booking through a licensed company keeps the employment side with the company, not with you. Our part time maid Dubai guide explains the legal options in plain terms.
With a regular plan you can ask for the same cleaner where possible, a set day and time, and a note of anything that needs extra attention. Our regular home cleaning service covers apartments and villas across Dubai, from the Marina and JLT to Mirdif and Al Barsha.
How to keep the monthly cost down
- Book the hours your home needs, not more. A tidy 1 bedroom apartment rarely needs more than 3 hours.
- Do a 10 minute tidy before the visit, so paid time goes on cleaning, not on clearing worktops and floors.
- Use your own materials if you have them, since the rate inside the range depends partly on who supplies them.
- Pick weekday daytime slots where you can, as they are usually easier to fill.
- Keep deep jobs on a separate schedule, such as a deep clean every three to six months, instead of stretching weekly visits.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a cleaner every week?
In Dubai, a weekly cleaner typically costs AED 35 to 50 per hour on our calculator. A 1 bedroom apartment takes about 3 hours, so roughly AED 105 to 150 a visit or AED 420 to 600 a month for four visits. A studio is about AED 280 to 600 a month and a villa about AED 560 to 1,200, depending on hours, slot and materials.
What is included in weekly cleaning?
Weekly cleaning covers the jobs that build up within a week: kitchen worktops, hob and sink, bathrooms and toilets, dusting, making beds, and vacuuming and mopping every floor. In Dubai it should also include window sills, balcony door tracks and the entrance mat. Ovens, inside cupboards and AC vents are deep clean jobs, and linen changes or ironing are extras confirmed at booking.
How much does a cleaning lady cost in Dubai?
A cleaner booked through a company in Dubai typically costs AED 35 to 50 per hour on our cleaning price calculator, with most visits lasting 2 to 6 hours depending on home size. The rate depends on the slot, your area and whether materials are included. A full time live in maid is a different arrangement, with salary, visa and insurance costs on top.
Is a fortnightly cleaner worth it?
For a single person, a couple or a tidy home, yes: two visits a month cost half as much as weekly cleaning and still keep bathrooms and floors under control. In Dubai, though, dust through windows and AC vents shows within two weeks, so homes with children, pets or heavy use usually need weekly visits. Try weekly for a month, then decide.
How much is a cleaner every fortnight?
At AED 35 to 50 per hour in Dubai, a fortnightly cleaner for a 1 bedroom apartment costs about AED 105 to 150 a visit, or AED 210 to 300 a month for two visits. A 2 to 3 bedroom home is about AED 210 to 400 a month. A fortnightly visit may need an extra hour, because two weeks of dust take longer to clear.
