What is not part of a deep clean, and why
Some jobs look like cleaning but need different equipment or training. A deep clean wipes the AC vent grilles you can see; cleaning the ducts behind them is a separate technical service. The EPA advises that air ducts should be cleaned only as needed, not routinely, for example when there is visible mould inside them or they are clogged with dust.
Mould is similar. A deep clean removes surface marks on grout and silicone, but mould that keeps coming back points to a moisture problem. The EPA’s brief guide to mould and moisture explains that the key is fixing the water source first. Pest control is also a separate licensed service.
External windows on towers are usually cleaned by building management with rope access or cradle teams, so they are outside a home deep clean too.
